Kleptocracy and Geopolitics

Tena Prelec is Assistant Professor in Politics and International Relations at the University of Rijeka. Her research sits at the intersection of international political economy and comparative politics, with a particular interest in how political and economic power operate across borders. She previously held positions at the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics, and is a former German Marshall Fund Memorial Fellow. She is a member of the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG) and co-author of Indulging Kleptocracy (Oxford University Press, 2025).
